Advertising Banners: When it comes to professional football, presentation matters both on and off the pitch. From stadium branding to training ground advertising, every detail contributes to the professional image of a Premier League football club.
Project Print Management (PPM) recently completed an installation of digitally printed PVC advertising banners at Newcastle United Football Club’s training ground, creating a smart, professional finish around the training pitches.
The project involved installing high-quality printed PVC banners onto aluminium extrusion frames, with the framework finished in black to complement the advertising graphics.
The result was a clean, consistent display of sponsor branding around the training facilities, providing excellent visibility while maintaining the professional appearance expected at a Premier League club.

Advertising Banners for Sports Grounds and Training Facilities
Advertising banners for sports grounds are an effective way of promoting sponsors, commercial partners and club branding. Football training facilities offer valuable opportunities to display advertising, particularly where pitches are used regularly by players, coaching staff and visiting media.
For Newcastle United’s training ground, the objective was to create a consistent display of sponsor logos around the perimeter fencing.
The advertising features several recognisable brands, including Adidas, JD, noon and KNOX Hydrate, presented in white against a black background.
This simple but effective colour combination provides strong contrast, making the logos easy to recognise while creating a coordinated appearance around the pitches.
Unlike temporary advertising banners that may be attached directly to fencing, this installation required a more professional and carefully finished solution.
By combining digitally printed PVC banners with aluminium extrusion frames, we were able to produce a smart, tensioned display.
Digitally Printed PVC Advertising Banners
Choosing the correct material is an important part of any outdoor advertising installation.
For this project, digitally printed PVC banners were selected to provide a durable, high-quality advertising surface suitable for an exposed outdoor environment.
PVC banner material offers several advantages for sporting facilities, including:
- Excellent reproduction of logos and corporate branding.
- Good resistance to rain and general outdoor weather conditions.
- A smooth printing surface for sharp graphics.
- Flexibility when tensioned within a suitable framing system.
- Cost-effective replacement when advertising or sponsorship arrangements change.
The black artwork provides an ideal background for the white sponsor logos, creating a striking appearance without overwhelming the surrounding training facilities.
At Project Print Management, we understand that the quality of the printed graphics is only one part of a successful installation.
Even the best printed banner can look disappointing if it is poorly tensioned or inadequately secured.
That is why careful planning, appropriate materials and professional installation are essential.
Aluminium Extrusion Frames Finished in Black
One of the important features of this installation was the use of aluminium extrusion framing systems to support the printed PVC banners.
Aluminium extrusions offer a lightweight, robust and practical solution for creating advertising displays.
For this particular project, the aluminium framing was painted black to blend with the background of the printed graphics.
This attention to detail makes a significant difference to the finished appearance.
Rather than leaving contrasting metal frames visible around the advertising, the black finish creates a more seamless display.
The aluminium framework also provides a suitable structure for securing and tensioning the banners, helping to maintain a neat appearance along the perimeter of the training pitches.
The photographs show how the advertising follows the fencing line, producing a continuous band of sponsor branding.
The combination of black framework, black printed backgrounds and white logos creates a coordinated, premium finish.
Professional Installation at Newcastle United’s Training Ground
Installing outdoor advertising banners requires more than simply producing the print.
Each installation must consider the existing structure, fixing arrangements, access requirements and exposure to the weather.
For this project, our installation team fitted the aluminium extrusion framing and secured the printed PVC banners around the training ground.
The objective was to achieve consistent alignment and a well-tensioned finish across the advertising sections.
Working within an operational sporting facility also requires careful coordination to minimise disruption to normal activities.
As the completed photographs demonstrate, the finished banners provide a smart advertising display that complements the training ground rather than distracting from it.
It’s a good example of how relatively straightforward advertising graphics can be transformed through professional print production and installation.

A Special Moment with Newcastle United’s Dan Burn!
Of course, working at a Premier League football club’s training ground has its occasional perks!
During the installation, Newcastle United and England defender Dan Burn kindly took a moment to have a selfie with one of our installers.
It was a lovely gesture and certainly made the day even more memorable for our team.
Although our installers are accustomed to working at prestigious locations and high-profile venues throughout the UK, it’s not every day that you get the opportunity to meet a Premier League footballer while carrying out your work.
A big thank you to Dan for taking the time for a photograph!
Why Professional Sports Ground Advertising Matters
Sports grounds and training facilities present excellent opportunities for outdoor advertising.
Whether promoting club sponsors, commercial partners or sporting events, professionally installed advertising banners can transform otherwise unused perimeter fencing into valuable promotional space.
However, appearance and durability should never be overlooked.
Poorly installed advertising can quickly become untidy, with loose edges, sagging material and uneven graphics affecting the overall presentation.
At Project Print Management, we believe the finishing details are just as important as the printed artwork.
Our experience in large-format printing, aluminium banner framing and specialist installation allows us to provide practical advertising solutions for sports facilities and commercial premises.
